KW Cares about our Local Community

RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a Keller Williams Realty service initiative dedicated to improving our local communities. Keller Williams Realty associates in the US and Canada will donate their time this year on May 12, 2011 to renewing and energizing aspects of our local communities.

Each Keller Williams office around the World will shut down their offices for this special day of Volunteering within the communities in which we work and live. Established in 2003, Keller Williams Realty Cares, or KW Cares, is a 501(c)3 public charity that is supported by Keller Williams Realty Associates and offices nationwide.

Watch our video from last years day of service when we partnered with Father Joe' Village to rehabilitate a half way house for the homeless and aids victims in San Diego.

This year we are focused on the Serenity House Inc. drug treatment center located in Escondido that an individual can enter in order to treat a drug addiction or alcoholism problem. Through therapy and education at Serenity House Inc, individuals are rehabilitated using various treatment methods which can enable them to lead productive lives.

Our office has chosen a local non-profit organization called “Serenity House” to donate our time and help beautify their Treatment Facility located in Escondido. We will be painting the interior and exterior of the building, and landscaping the outside.

We are asking our closest friends, family and clients to participate in this charity event by donating women’s clothing and hygiene products. This treatment facility is given a small grant from the state and survives mostly on donations.

There are many reasons why a person would need to attend Serenity House Inc in Escondido. A few of the many reasons are: the inability to control their drinking or drug use, alienating their friends and family, legal problems, severe depression and general unhappiness due to excessive drug or alcohol use.

We here at KW San Diego North Inland are always looking for a local project that impacts our community and allows us to give back where we live !

Do you know of something, call us directly and ask for Kelly Burch.
